Also known as the home for artists - Bandra, is filled with eye-catching graffiti that can be found on multiple streets. The project concept stems from the idea of “Less is More”. The key intent was to highlight this art and to create a skeleton that can be tailored during different festivities throughout the year.
Reinforcement bars are anchored on the edges of the compound wall creating an arched shape. A desired sense of movement is emphasized by the subtle change in volume
The footing used to cast these bars in place also acts as a planter bed, from which the creepers rise. Filtered light through these creepers creates interesting shadows that facilitates gatherings.
The street has the potential to host performances, exhibitions and to encourage gatherings. With the framework in place, the street can be decorated by the community during different festivals. This adds a sense of ownership to the space which results in increased footfall. We believe life is integrated with nature and hence, The Experiential Trail is in harmony with landscape.
